University notification on arranging student marriages is fake
A notification claims a university has prohibited boys and girls from mingling during the month of Ramazan, and will arrange their marriage if they are found standing together.
A notification from Bahria University, Islamabad dated Feb 20, 2026, states, “Dear Students, It is here by to inform that during the Holy month of Ramadan standing together in couple (boy & girl) is strictly prohibited!
“If any couple are found standing together, their nikkah will be arranged immediately. Please respect the sanctity of the university and avoid unnecessary closeness! Note: In the event of violation, the couple will be responsible for arranging their own Walima”
The notification from the Academic Branch has the signature of Director Academics, Prof. Dr. Aisha Rahman.

Official Denial
Bahria University Islamabad has clarified the notification that no such notification was ever released and that the document is being falsely attributed to the institution.
“In a post on the university official Facebook page, Bahria University said, “It has come to our attention that a notification circulating on social media regarding restrictions during the month of Ramadan is being falsely attributed to Bahria University.
“We clarify that no such notification has been issued by the University. The circulating letter appears to be a meme and does not reflect official policy. Students and parents are advised to rely only on Bahria University’s official communication channels for authentic information.”

Fact Check
The notification shown in the image is fake and has been officially debunked by the university as a meme.
Fabricated Official: The document is signed by a “Prof. Dr. Aisha Rahman” (or Ayesha Rahman) as Director Academics.
However, the university’s actual Director Academics is Prof. Dr. Shehzad Khalid, as mentioned on their website.
The document has formatting Errors and was not issued on the university’s official letterhead and contains various administrative inconsistencies.
