State Bank is not cancelling Rs.5000 note

After Denial by the Caretaker Government that so far there is no such notification/step under discussion to cancel 5000 Rupee Currency.

Interestingly, the former Chairman of CBR, Mr Shabbar Zaidi still peddles fake news & suggests on prime time that the government should cancel the 5000 currency note to curb money laundering. Not only that but noted opinion makers even tweeted that it was they who suggested long ago to go ahead & cancel the 5000 Rupees note.

Even the former MS to President Musharraf dragged the Caretaker Finance Minister into the debate and suggested that it was she who introduced the 5000 Currency Note & requested her to withdraw what she allowed in 2006
