Reports of Pakistan signing Abraham Accords and recognizing Israel are baseless
Several social media users and an obscure digital outlet shared a post that Pakistan will sign the Abraham Accords and recognize Israel as a sovereign state.
A post by Voice of Khorasan, an Afghanistan based outlet dated September 28, says, “The Pakistani government will sign the Abraham Accords and officially recognize Israel.
“According to obtained information, the head of the contracted military and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have agreed with Donald Trump that the Pakistani state will sign the Abraham Accords.
“In the first phase, Israel will be recognized secretly, and later it will be acknowledged openly.
“After this, the military, through its contracted clerics, will convince the Pakistani public that this step has been taken for the protection of Al-Quds and for the welfare of the Palestinian people.
“The Pakistani military and legal system are increasingly under U.S. influence, and all actions are carried out according to the guidance of the U.S. and its allies.”

Fact Check
Fact Check Pakistan has determined the post is opinionated and devoid of factual accuracy. There is no indication or reports within Pakistan or the global media that Pakistan will sign the Abraham Accords and normalize relations with Israel.
Pakistan has clarified its policy on the Israel-Palestine issue.
Pakistan has consistently advocated for a two-state solution as the key to enduring peace in the Middle East, with a just, comprehensive and lasting solution to the Palestinian question anchored in international law and in line with relevant United Nations and OIC resolutions.
A viable, sovereign and contiguous State of Palestine should be established on the basis of pre-1967 borders, with Al Quds Al-Sharif (East Jerusalem) as its capital, the Foreign Office has said on several occasions.
Therefore, there is no indication that Pakistan will sign the Abraham Accords and claims that Pakistan is expected to recognize Israel are baseless.
