Fact Check: Rehan Zeb Khan was not the official PTI candidate from Bajaur

Media outlets reported that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-backed candidate Rehan Zeb Khan was shot dead Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

It was mentioned that the candidate was contesting elections from NA-8 and PK-22 seats. The reports was carried by several prominent media outlets including Express Tribune, Dawn, and The News.

Although a youth was shot dead during election canvassing, he was not the contesting the polls. It must be mentioned Rehan Zeb Khan was not the official candidate of the PTI.

According to the official list of candidates, the candidate for NA-8 (Bajaur) is Gul Zafar Khan, while the candidate for PK-22 (Bajaur-lV) is Gul Dad Khan.
