Pakistani actress Hania Amir denies fabricated post on criticizing Pakistan Army
A post shared by Indian accounts showing Pakistani actress Hania Amir criticizing the Pakistan Army for the Pahalgam attack after her account was banned in India is fake and completely fabricated.
The Indian government banned the Instagram accounts of many Pakistani celebrities including Hania Amir from being viewed in India. An alleged post of Hania Aamir surfaced on social media in which Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir was purportedly criticized.

The allegedly post taken as screenshot of an Instagram story read, ‘Only because of General Asim Munir’s action in Kashmir, the entire Pakistani entertainment industry has been banned in India, and even social media accounts are being banned.’
The post added, ‘I respectfully request the Prime Minister of India, we, the common people of Pakistan, have not done anything wrong to India. The Pakistani Army and Islamic terrorists are behind the Pahalgam attack. So why are you punishing common Pakistanis? Please take action against the Pakistani army and terrorists, not against innocent civilians.’

The post has been shared by various Indian media outlet including India Times, Womensera, DNA India and Indian based account on X, formerly Twitter, and other social media platforms.

Fact Check Pakistan has noted the post has formatting errors and is fabricated. There has been no post of Instagram story by Hania Amir criticizing the Pakistan Army.

On Friday, Hania addressed a viral post falsely attributing controversial comments to her, calling it fabricated and completely untrue.
The actress has now taken to social media to issue a strongly worded clarification saying:
“Recently, a statement has been falsely attributed to me and is being widely circulated on social media. I want to address this directly: I did not make this statement, and I do not endorse or align with the words being linked to me,” she wrote. “It is entirely fabricated and misrepresents who I am and what I believe.”
She continued, “This is a deeply sensitive and emotional time. My heart goes out to the innocent lives lost and the families affected by the recent tragedy. Pain like this is real and deserves empathy—not politicisation.”
Hania urged fans to avoid spreading misinformation and encouraged a more compassionate response. “The actions of extremists do not represent an entire nation or its people. Assigning blame without proof only deepens divides and distracts from the real need for compassion, justice, and healing.”
“To my beloved supporters, your love means everything to me. I kindly ask everyone to check the truth before sharing and to approach these difficult times with kindness and clarity,” she concluded, reaffirming her commitment to positivity and respect.
