Pakistan has not declared Bollywood actor Salman Khan a terrorist for Balochistan remarks
Indian media outlets reported that Bollywood actor Salman Khan has been declared a terrorist and his name has been placed under an anti-terror law by the Government of Pakistan for his remarks on Balochistan.
Well-known Indian media outlet, News18, shared a news report titled, “Salman Khan declared a terrorist by Pakistan over Balochistan remark in Riyadh.” The caption on X says, “According to multiple reports, the Pakistan government has allegedly placed Salman Khan under a list reserved for individuals suspected of having links to terrorism, for comments he made about Balochistan.”
DNA India shared a post saying, “Pakistan govt books Bollywood actor Salman Khan under anti terrorism law after he refers to Balochistan as a separate entity during an event.” The caption adds, “A statement made by Bollywood actor Salman Khan has stung Pakistan like a thorn… Pakistan’s Ministry of Interior had declared Salman a terrorist.”
Times of India, one of India’s leading media outlets, also reported that Salman Khan has been labeled a “terrorist” after his remarks and claimed as ‘per multiple media reports, the Pakistani government has placed Salman under the 4th Schedule of the ATA, a list reserved for people suspected of having links to terrorism.”
Many reports and social media users also shared a notification allegedly from the Balochistan Home Department dated Oct 16, 2025, that supposedly states that Salman Khan’s name has been placed in the Fourth Schedule of the Anti Terrorism Act, 1997 (ATA, 1997), for activities related to terrorism, and labels him as an ‘Azad Balochistan facilitator’.

Intent:
The claim comes after Salman Khan made the remarks referring to Balochistan as a seperate entity at the Joy Forum 2025 in Riyadh, where he appeared alongside actors Shah Rukh Khan and Amir Khan to discuss the influence of Indian cinema in the Middle East.
Salman remarked, “Many people from other countries have come here. There are people Balochistan, there are people from Afghanistan, there are people from Pakistan, everyone is working here.”
Salman Khan has not issued any statement on the backlash. However, Indian media reported without any attribution or sources that officials in Islamabad are angered by the comments.
