Journalist Shaheen Sehbai refutes fake news over his death from mpox

Pakistani-American journalist Shaheen Sehbai has strongly refuted fake news over his death from the monkeypox virus.

He was responding to a post on social media saying, “This post has been reported to X-Twitter, as false, fake and malicious. I’m fine.”

The post by a social media user expressed condolences over the reported passing of the journalist.

A social media user  shared a post giving the fake news saying that, “Famous columnist Shaheen Sehbai has died from monkeypox.”

The post had the logo of a digital media network Siasat.pk. It could not be independently verified whether the platform had shared the post.

The post was also shared by several social media social including satirist Mustafa Chaudhry.
