Imran Khan is not mentioned on Epstein List

The ‘Jeffrey Epstein List’ has had the entire world talking, with the topic becoming one of the most talked-about on social media and exposing some prominent names.

Over the last few days, many names have come out in the leaked Epstein list while several others have been falsely linked.

A user on X, formerly Twitter, tried to link former prime minister of Pakistan Imran Khan with the Epstein list based on a story revealed by Wasim Akram.

He also shared a picture of the former captain with Ghislane Maxwell, a socialite and partner of the convicted sex offender, who is currently in prison.

After the post, Wasim Akran fumed over the bizarre claim and shut down the troll on social media, saying: “Stop spreading lies you muppet.”

Last year, Wasim Akram revealed in intriguing story where former Pakistan captain Imran Khan was taken to a ‘deserted island on a private plane’.

After narrating a tale of going to a nightclub where female fans surrounded Imran, Wasim Akran narrated how they travelled to a private island.

“He took us and one of his friends, and she – a female – took us to the airport. She had her own plane. So we sat on a private plane, and about 45 minutes ride into a deserted island.”

“They went into ‘chat’ into the house. I said okay, what should we do now? We can’t even go back to the hotel. We are on an island in the middle of South America.”

Some are pointing out this disclosure by Akram as proof that Imran had gone with Maxwell, aboard her private plane, to Epstein’s island.

Evidence

The first evidence is a series of images of Imran Khan from a party in London in 1990. The images, contributed by Alan Davidson, were taken at an event at the Savoy Hotel to mark the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Imran Khan was attending the event wearing a black suit with a bow. At the event, he was snapped with Ghislane Maxwell and a glass of orange juice in his hand.

Fact Check

While the pictures indeed show Imran with Maxwell, the depth of their ties is not known. There is no evidence to suggest that he had visit the Epstein Island.

Wasim Akram does not reveal the identity of both Imran’s female friend and the particular island. Epstein owned two islands located side by side, Little Saint James and Great Saint James and neither island has an airstrip for planes.

The biggest evidence of Imran’s involvement, or not, comes from the documents released by the court. The 1,200-odd pages do not contain any mention of Imran Khan nor his profession. Wasim Akram is not mentioned either.

Former US presidents Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, former US first lady Hillary Clinton, Britain’s Prince Andrew, physicist Stephen Hawking, Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio are among over 100 high-profile people named in the court documents linked to Jeffrey Epstein, a US financier and notorious sex-offender.

The list of around 150 people also include names of Epstein’s associates in a lawsuit brought against his former girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell in 2015 and the fist list was published on Wednesday under the order of a New York judge.
