Fake News about restaurant closure clarified

Reports were circulating on social media that the branch of a popular restaurant franchise, McDonald’s, was closed down in Peshawar.

The restaurant chain has been in the crosshairs after being embroiled in the Israel-Palestine conflict, with widespread calls for boycotting the organization.

The facts are that it was only temporarily closed for a couple of hours due to a rally passing by and has been operational since. No official statement was issued by the McDonald’s team on any of their social media platforms.
