Fact-checking Imran Khan’s tweet on Shaukat Khanum’s JCI accredition

This is incorrect and in fact false. Four hospitals in Pakistan alone have this JCI accreditation – Shaukat Khanum is one of them but it is certainly not the second in the world. In fact, in the entire world 1,081 hospitals have JCI accreditation.

On the JCI website there is no information on this so-called “full enterprise” accreditation. It does list the 4 hospitals in Pakistan that have JCI accreditation. Several news outlets carried this claim. Most said Imran Khan had claimed it but did not independently check it.
