FACT CHECK: Viral video is NOT related to Balochistan train attack

A Pakistan train was attacked in mountainous areas by terrorists in Balochistan as the passengers were held hostage for several hours before the military launched a grand operation.

Several social media accounts shared fake images and videos of the attack. A viral video posted by social media platform X, formerly Twitter, is not related to the incident.

The video posted by Megh Updates with the hashtag @MeghUpdates has the caption, “TRAIN HIJACK IN PAKISTAN. Jaffar Express from Quetta to Peshawar HIJACKED after IED blast by Baloch rebels.”

The video from the India-based account has been viewed 661.3K times.

Although it has not been deciphered where the video relates to, it can be concluded that the video is not related to the train attack in Balochistan.
