Fact Check: Video showing Pakistani soldier crying is altered
A social media post falsely claimed that Pakistani soldiers have refused to participate in the war against India.
An Indian user with the handle @sumit45678901 on social media site X, formerly Twitter, shared a video captioned, “Video coming from Pakistan. Pakistan army officer was captured on camera crying as he refused to be involved in war with India but General Asif Munir forced Pakistani soliders”
The short 25-second video clip purportedly shows a Pakistani soldier emotionally distressed as he rides an airplane. The video has been viewed over 193k times.

The original post on X can be viewed here.
Fact Check Pakistan conducted thorough research and found out the video is edited, altered, and taken out of context to portray a misleading report.
A Google Reverse Image Search found the actual video on several media social platforms. The video was shared on March 8 on a page of the PML-N.
The video was captioned in Urdu, “An army soldier on a plane ride for the first time. Long Live Pakistan Army and its soldiers”.
This video can be viewed here.
The video shows the soldier with flight freight or phobia of flying, who quickly erupts in laughter after the plane takes off.
It has been concluded that the video has been altered and edited to portray a misleading picture and taken completely out of context.
