Fact Check: Field Marshal Asim Munir is not sitting behind a bulletproof glass

India-based social media accounts claimed that Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir sat behind a bulletproof glass while addressing the military top brass at the General Headquarters (GHQ).

The was followed by false and baseless claims that the army chief is concern about his security from his commanders, and was allegedly spotted wearing a bullet proof vest during his recent meeting with dignitaries.

The posts were shared by several Indian-based propaganda accounts as seen here, here, here, and here.

Fact Check Pakistan determines the claims are false and baseless.

The picture relates to a Corps Commanders Conference held at the GHQ in Rawalpindi on December 24 presided by the army chief.

A video of the event was shared by the military’s press wing, the ISPR, on its website and social media.

The video does not show CDF Munir sitting behind a bulletproof glass of any physical barrier. The claims are false and intend to malign the armed forces of Pakistan.
