A social media post claimed that Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir attended an event hosted by the pro-Israeli lobby AIPAC during his visit to the United States.
The post also shows a picture of the army chief standing with the Israeli and US flags.
The news is false while the picture is edited.

A post media user Myatezhnik with the handle @muffin muse shared the picture with the caption, “Why is Asim Munir attending a dinner hosted by the Americas Pro Israel lobby AIPAC?”.

A user @RiwanaKarim1 shared the post on X, with the caption, “At this critical time where there’s uncertainty in the Middle East and around the world, I cannot comprehend and why Pak Army is attending a Lunch hosted by Trump, @AIPAC.”

Fact Check Pakistan has concluded that new s is FAKE. The army chief did not attend any event hosted by the AIPAC or any pro-Israel organization during his US visit.
It has also been determined that the picture of Field Marshal Asim Munir with the flags of Israel and US is modified and edited.
The original picture shows the flags of Pakistan and the US. The army chief attended event in Washington where he interacted with the Pakistani community.

The ISPR, the military’s press wing, issued a statement regarding the event. A video of the event shows the army chief in the same location standing with the flags of Pakistan and the US.
The flag of Pakistan has been edited and the flag of Israel has been included. Thus it has been concluded that the image is fake and modified.
